Narrative:
Taxiing to runway 33 at dca ground control told us to taxi up to but hold short of runway 33. Captain misunderstood. I was doing checklist items. Ground control asked if we were holding short. I said affirmative. When I looked back up, we must have crossed the hold short line. Captain then cleared the final approach course. There was no traffic. He turned airplane around and taxied back behind the hold short lines. Safety in no way was ever in doubt. There was no traffic around. Not sure how far beyond the hold short lines we crossed.
