Narrative:
Strobing and WX was heavily displayed. Radar controller asked supervisor to have it turned down. Instead of just turning it down all targets were lost. Sector had heavy traffic with, departures, arrs, climbing and descending traffic.

Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR'S DISPLAY LOST ALL ACFT TARGETS AFTER HE ASKED SUPVR TO HAVE THE DISPLAY TURNED DOWN.
Narrative: STROBING AND WX WAS HEAVILY DISPLAYED. RADAR CTLR ASKED SUPVR TO HAVE IT TURNED DOWN. INSTEAD OF JUST TURNING IT DOWN ALL TARGETS WERE LOST. SECTOR HAD HVY TFC WITH, DEPS, ARRS, CLBING AND DSNDING TFC.
