Narrative:
On jul/xa/00, 2 aircraft were inbound for slk on IFR flight plans. Aircraft #1, a C172 and aircraft #2, C501. Aircraft #1 was cleared for the full ILS to runway 23 and was told to cancel IFR as soon as possible. C172 canceled, then the C501 was cleared for the same approach, radar service was terminated. While on the procedure descending to 4800 ft, we announced that we were procedure turn outbound when the C172 announced that he was procedure turn outbound. We then initiated a climb to 6000 ft while flying the procedure and got back in touch with ZBW. Eventually got reclred for the approach. Broke out of clouds at 3600 ft and landed.

Title: A C501 CHARTER FLT PERFORMS A MISSED APCH FOR EVASIVE ACTION UPON LEARNING THAT A C172 WAS ALSO IN A PROC TURN AT THE SAME ALT NE OF SLK, NY.
Narrative: ON JUL/XA/00, 2 ACFT WERE INBOUND FOR SLK ON IFR FLT PLANS. ACFT #1, A C172 AND ACFT #2, C501. ACFT #1 WAS CLRED FOR THE FULL ILS TO RWY 23 AND WAS TOLD TO CANCEL IFR ASAP. C172 CANCELED, THEN THE C501 WAS CLRED FOR THE SAME APCH, RADAR SVC WAS TERMINATED. WHILE ON THE PROC DSNDING TO 4800 FT, WE ANNOUNCED THAT WE WERE PROC TURN OUTBOUND WHEN THE C172 ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS PROC TURN OUTBOUND. WE THEN INITIATED A CLB TO 6000 FT WHILE FLYING THE PROC AND GOT BACK IN TOUCH WITH ZBW. EVENTUALLY GOT RECLRED FOR THE APCH. BROKE OUT OF CLOUDS AT 3600 FT AND LANDED.
