Narrative:

On pushback from xy at ZZZ, I was distraction by a conversation on ramp frequency, and could not see the push tractor which was hidden by the nose of the aircraft. I released the brakes before ensuring I had a salute. The push driver called again to set brakes. I complied, and inquired of injuries (none), or damage (none). After I apologized, the flight departed. First flight back after vacation and should not have had the ramp frequency turned on. Too many distrs.
