Narrative:

Due to numerous traffic targets on vectored departure, given several altitudes during climb out. When given clearance to climb to 6000 ft, captain (PF) set new altitude of 6000 ft in altitude window, with autoplt on. Both crew members acknowledged 6000 ft, then both crew members scanned outside for traffic called out by ATC. Due to high climb rate, aircraft was slow to arrest climb rate in leveloff and passed through 6000 ft. Autoplt was disconnected, and nosed over to leveloff manually at 6000 ft. Maximum altitude was 6250 ft.
