Narrative:
Inbound to sea on chins.2 STAR. After turn off course, reclred direct imb chins.2 and entered into FMS. After passing imb, aircraft proceeded direct chins intersection by passing suned and ykm. Neither pilot noticed the error until queried by center controller who made it sound like this has happened before. Moral: constant vigilance to make sure aircraft is doing what it is supposed to.

Narrative: INBOUND TO SEA ON CHINS.2 STAR. AFTER TURN OFF COURSE, RECLRED DIRECT IMB CHINS.2 AND ENTERED INTO FMS. AFTER PASSING IMB, ACFT PROCEEDED DIRECT CHINS INTXN BY PASSING SUNED AND YKM. NEITHER PLT NOTICED THE ERROR UNTIL QUERIED BY CTR CTLR WHO MADE IT SOUND LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. MORAL: CONSTANT VIGILANCE TO MAKE SURE ACFT IS DOING WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO.
