Narrative:
I had not been flying for the past 3 weeks. On aug/fri/00, I flew solo, a local flight from spruce creek airport (7fl6) to a practice area south of the airport. After 20 mins on my return flight I could not locate the airport and in my search to find it flew unknowingly close to class C airspace (of dab international). After about 10 mins I finally naved via LORAN and returned to land uneventfully at 7fl6. I am embarrassed that I could not find this airport right away and caused some traffic problems temporarily for the people handling traffic leaving dab. Part of the problem is the changing environment, new construction, etc, around this area and the fact that the airport is hard to spot at times and I had a short period of false heading from my LORAN (and my transponder was inoperative).
