Narrative:
Taxi operations at divert station sdf. After diverting to sdf we were parked on a remote cargo area. Door was opened. Captain went to get a release to continue to hpn. Found out flight was canceled. The only way to get passenger to gate was to taxi aircraft. Dispatch informed us we needed release to taxi the aircraft. The aircraft was taxied to the gate to deplane the passenger. We then were in the seats as the aircraft was towed to the remote cargo area to be parked overnight. The following morning we had to taxi the aircraft back to the gate to continue to hpn.
