Narrative:
The aircraft pressure refueling was inoperative which required overwing refueling. The passenger were boarded and the paperwork was done. The flight attendant handed out paperwork and attempted to close the door, while fueler was pumping fuel in the right wing. She had trouble and made several noisy attempts to close door, while I tried to get her attention to leave it open until the refueling was complete and the truck pulled away. She finally got it to close and latch and I finally got her attention just as a ramper began to unlatch the door. The total event took approximately 1 min before the door was opened as required.
