Narrative:
Leveloff at FL240. Controller called, said we'd only been cleared to FL230. We believe we'd been cleared to FL240. Thought readback clearance was for FL240. Some confusion exists. At the time of the incident, we were also experiencing loss of hydraulic pressure, which resulted in our declaring an emergency and landing at houston, bush intercontinental. Supplemental information from acn 481641: thought I read back FL240.
