Narrative:

Routine card was incorrectly written. I was unable to complete card correctly. I inadvertently signed off the card and the aircraft check was completed. The card reads to delete (north/a) item xz if no damage found. I skipped the wrong step and did not install the correct repair angle because there was no damage found. I have notified air carrier because the aircraft is still within time limits. The routine card is engineering order xyy item 3. This step needs to be rewritten by air carrier engineers. The repair bracket positioning is incorrect. A fastener needs to be picked up in the support angle. I was unaware of the problem until I saw the card on aircraft xyz and realized my error.
