Narrative:
Problem in taxi from FBO to runway 18 for takeoff. Taxiway from terminals leads directly to runway without clearly identifiable markings indicating you are entering the runway environment and not a parallel taxiway. Taxiway that should be used appears to be a parking area further adding to the confusion. Suggest that adding signs indicating taxiway directions and runway environment would reduce confusion and improve safety. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated he may have crossed the runway hold lines before the tower ground controller instructed him to stop and asked if he was unfamiliar with the airport. He said he was and made a 180 degree turn and got back on the taxiway he said he did not think any of the txwys have signage.

Title: RPTR STATES THE TXWY LEADING TO THE RWY AT THE TOP ARPT IS UNCLRLY MARKED AND CONFUSING.
Narrative: PROB IN TAXI FROM FBO TO RWY 18 FOR TKOF. TXWY THAT SHOULD BE USED APPEARS TO BE A PARKING AREA FURTHER ADDING TO THE CONFUSION. SUGGEST THAT ADDING SIGNS INDICATING TXWY DIRECTIONS AND RWY ENVIRONMENT WOULD REDUCE CONFUSION AND IMPROVE SAFETY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED HE MAY HAVE CROSSED THE RWY HOLD LINES BEFORE THE TWR GND CTLR INSTRUCTED HIM TO STOP AND ASKED IF HE WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH THE ARPT.
