Narrative:
On aug/mon/00, we were attempting to meet etr (estimated time return to service) on aircraft xyz on a l-hand engine drive fuel pump change, when after completion, the aircraft was taken to the gate. The revenue flight returned to the gate, after an indication problem on the l-hand engine. It was found that a sense line had not been secured and after rectifying the situation, the aircraft departed with no further discrepancies. We feel that instead of just leak checking after the change out, that a full power run with soak time would have given us the indication problem before returning to service. The aircraft maintenance manual is somewhat vague on the replacement or removal operations check procedures.
