Narrative:
Handed off from ATC to tower, for visual approach, entered left downwind for runway 23. Talked to tower and cleared to land. Never told of left or right traffic. Later realized right traffic specified on approach plate for runway 23. Realized right traffic once on left base, we were the only aircraft in the area. Neither controling agency stated which traffic pattern entry.
