Narrative:
Placarding of the autospoiler -- do not use light. I proceeded with placarding the system. The maintenance procedures manual was being done by another mechanic who was helping me. I signed for the placard and did not check his work. On aug/xa/00 it was brought to my attention that the maintenance procedures manual and lower minimum performance status placarding were not correct.

Title: AN MD80 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE AUTOSPOILERS DEFERRED BUT NOT PLACARDED PER THE MEL SPECIAL PROCS.
Narrative: PLACARDING OF THE AUTOSPOILER -- DO NOT USE LIGHT. I PROCEEDED WITH PLACARDING THE SYS. THE MAINT PROCS MANUAL WAS BEING DONE BY ANOTHER MECH WHO WAS HELPING ME. I SIGNED FOR THE PLACARD AND DID NOT CHK HIS WORK. ON AUG/XA/00 IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN THAT THE MAINT PROCS MANUAL AND LOWER MINIMUM PERFORMANCE STATUS PLACARDING WERE NOT CORRECT.
