Narrative:
Cleared to descend to 11000 ft, distraction at 11300 ft while putting on autoplt. Autoflt system reverted to vertical speed mode and descended past 11000 ft. I noticed the deviation at 10800 ft and grabbed the stick (A319), but with autoplt on there was considerable resistance. By the time I kicked off the autoplt and started to climb, we bottomed out at 10400 ft. This trip sequence started in den at XA00, flew to lax and then all night to iad. I feel that my reflexes were considerably slower because of the overnight operation.
