Narrative:
After passing ryn beacon situated on the airport, we were told after hearing a cherokee is right, departing on right downwind runway 6R ryn to circle for left downwind runway 33. The cherokee was very slow executing the right downwind and we made right turn as if we were circling for runway 6R to keep away from the cherokee. Tower came on frequency, telling us to alter our instructions, we were to circle south for runway 24L, after keeping away from the cherokee, we of course complied.
