Narrative:
After takeoff from sfo, at cruise FL370 10-20 mins, -60 degrees C sat. Autoplt and EICAS light illuminated, disconnecting autoplt. We found the ailerons were jammed frozen. We accomplished our irregular procedure for 'jammed flight controls,' and 1-2 mins with 25-50 pounds of force, aileron control was regained. We kept our altitude within 150 ft of FL370. Course 1-2 mi of centerline, keeping ATC advised. After discussion with our maintenance, they said problem was most likely frozen ice accumulation. Rest of flight okay. Heavy rain had been falling at sfo 6 hours prior to our departure. Took off with 15 degree flaps. 24 hours after our arrival, maintenance and engineering did in fact find dirty water and clogged drain holes.
