Narrative:
Air carrier X checked on and was climbed to an interim altitude of FL250. Aircraft Y check on and was climbed to FL250. I had just found out about a 15 mit (mi in trail) restr to msp. This was last min notice with numerous aircraft that were going there. I started working on meeting the mit restr while also trying to split the sector. Conflict alert activated and brought my attention back to that portion of the radar scope. Air carrier X was turned to a 360 degree heading but it was too late. Numerous distractions took my attention away from the situation. Splitting of sector. Last min notice of mit restr caused excessive vectoring. Radar person at next sector was yelling for help. Supervisor talking to me, trying to find out why I didn't know sooner about mit restr.
