Narrative:
I received my clearance on the ground at stp for an IFR flight from stp to eau at approximately XA00 local. I then received a taxi clearance to 'taxi to runway 32' and read it back. I then proceeded to taxi to runway 32 which the route I chose had me taxiing across runway 32. I assumed I was cleared across runway 32 to the departure end. I then realized I should have verified that I was cleared across runway 32 which I later realized I wasn't cleared across runway 32, but up to it only. One of the contributing factors was the unclr taxi instructions of which way to taxi to runway 32. Another factor was my misunderstanding of the instructions to taxi and not verifying the route of which to taxi.
