Narrative:
The flight plan (atl-lax) route was drk.J10.tnp.PDZ4.klax. J10 between drk and tnp includes hippi intersection and requires a slight turn at hippi. The flight plan waypoints did not include hippi and had we not crosschecked the flight plan waypoints with the commercial map, we would have strayed off the airway.
