Narrative:
Last min change of SID and I missed reading 'at or below 8000 ft' at pomona VOR. We had climbed to about 9500 ft on the way to cleared altitude of 14000 ft when ATC advised us to level at 9000 ft and shortly thereafter cleared us on up to 14000 ft. Not aware of any traffic conflict, but I should have seen and complied with the SID altitude restr. I'll take more time and have the other pilot also check the SID in the future. Also, it would be helpful if initial altitude clrncs weren't above SID restrs when possible.

Title: C750 CREW MISSED A SID ALT RESTR.
Narrative: LAST MIN CHANGE OF SID AND I MISSED READING 'AT OR BELOW 8000 FT' AT POMONA VOR. WE HAD CLBED TO ABOUT 9500 FT ON THE WAY TO CLRED ALT OF 14000 FT WHEN ATC ADVISED US TO LEVEL AT 9000 FT AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER CLRED US ON UP TO 14000 FT. NOT AWARE OF ANY TFC CONFLICT, BUT I SHOULD HAVE SEEN AND COMPLIED WITH THE SID ALT RESTR. I'LL TAKE MORE TIME AND HAVE THE OTHER PLT ALSO CHK THE SID IN THE FUTURE. ALSO, IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF INITIAL ALT CLRNCS WEREN'T ABOVE SID RESTRS WHEN POSSIBLE.
