Narrative:
On descent into phx from san, flight XXX was cleared to phx via arlin 2 arrival. Prior to turning onto the willie 256 degree radial, ZAB asked us to cross the paynt intersection at 11000 ft and 250 KTS. I advised ZAB, as the PNF, we were unable to meet that restr. Also, I advised ZAB that we could make a descending 360 degree turn or what he might need in lieu of us not making paynt at 11000 ft and 250 KTS. He then said 'cross paynt at 250 KTS and arlin at 10000 ft, not arlin at 11000 ft.' we arrived at arlin at 10000 ft and 250 KTS after crossing paynt at 250 KTS. It seemed the phx approach controller was not aware of the revised crossing restr now given to us to cross arlin now at 10000 ft instead of at 11000 ft.

Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO PHX FROM SAN, FLT XXX WAS CLRED TO PHX VIA ARLIN 2 ARR. PRIOR TO TURNING ONTO THE WILLIE 256 DEG RADIAL, ZAB ASKED US TO CROSS THE PAYNT INTXN AT 11000 FT AND 250 KTS. HE THEN SAID 'CROSS PAYNT AT 250 KTS AND ARLIN AT 10000 FT, NOT ARLIN AT 11000 FT.' WE ARRIVED AT ARLIN AT 10000 FT AND 250 KTS AFTER XING PAYNT AT 250 KTS. IT SEEMED THE PHX APCH CTLR WAS NOT AWARE OF THE REVISED XING RESTR NOW GIVEN TO US TO CROSS ARLIN NOW AT 10000 FT INSTEAD OF AT 11000 FT.
