Narrative:
Clearance was to climb on runway heading to 3000 ft. Level at 3000 ft, the transponder readout was intermittent in excess of 500 ft. Altimeter was correct with local departure ATIS. ATC stated transponder was lost. Reset code to #2 transponder. Altitude was code confirmed correct with ATC.

Title: C525 CREW HAD XPONDER FAILURE DEPARTING FNT.
Narrative: CLRNC WAS TO CLB ON RWY HDG TO 3000 FT. LEVEL AT 3000 FT, THE XPONDER READOUT WAS INTERMITTENT IN EXCESS OF 500 FT. ALTIMETER WAS CORRECT WITH LCL DEP ATIS. ATC STATED XPONDER WAS LOST. RESET CODE TO #2 XPONDER. ALT WAS CODE CONFIRMED CORRECT WITH ATC.
