Narrative:
In cruise along V16 between elp and cus at 400 KIAS, aircraft veered slightly south of course after changing from elp VOR to cus VOR. Cus VOR was not receiving obs, only DME. Center called on VHF to say he showed aircraft over mexico. Immediately turned 10 degrees north to correct situation. Pilot was temporarily distraction with other cockpit duties at time. Was perhaps 1 NM over the boundary.

Title: COCKPIT DISTR LEADS TO A TRACK DEV AND MEXICAN AIRSPACE ENTRY NEAR EL PASO, TX.
Narrative: IN CRUISE ALONG V16 BTWN ELP AND CUS AT 400 KIAS, ACFT VEERED SLIGHTLY S OF COURSE AFTER CHANGING FROM ELP VOR TO CUS VOR. CUS VOR WAS NOT RECEIVING OBS, ONLY DME. CTR CALLED ON VHF TO SAY HE SHOWED ACFT OVER MEXICO. IMMEDIATELY TURNED 10 DEGS N TO CORRECT SIT. PLT WAS TEMPORARILY DISTR WITH OTHER COCKPIT DUTIES AT TIME. WAS PERHAPS 1 NM OVER THE BOUNDARY.
