Narrative:

After engine shutdown in ZZZ, a mechanic noticed smoke coming from #1 engine. We noticed the fuel lever slightly up on the #1 engine and began motoring procedures for a suspected tailpipe fire. Shortly after commencing motoring procedure, a flight attendant called out 'fire' on the left (#1) engine. We pulled the #1 engine fire handle and discharged the fire bottle. Ground crew simultaneously used extinguishing bottles on our #1 engine. Fire was put out and all passenger completed deboarding safely.
