Narrative:
I, the purser on flight, received a call from mid cabin from flight attendant #8 asking me to call security -- that we had 3 men fighting. This was only 5-10 mins into boarding. I immediately notified the captain and the agent at the gate. She called security and a customer service manager. The manager came on board and spoke to them and was in the process of removing the 2 instigators, when the police arrived. 2 men were removed. Flight departed on time. Flight attendant #8 informed me the fight was over an overhead bin. Supplemental information from acn 498250: there's no way we can predict or prevent a territorial passenger who feels the overhead bin above his seat is his. We make PA's stating the overhead bins are shared space. Sadly, society is losing it. Perhaps we need to make the PA's more frequently.
