Narrative:
We performed a CAT III approach to runway 16L in slc. On touchdown, we experienced an electrical fire. We taxied clear of the runway and shut down left engine. We coordinated with flight attendants as we taxied to the gate. We then expeditiously deplaned aircraft. Supplemental information from acn 498116: upon touchdown we experienced numerous cockpit indications of electrical malfunctions. Callback conversation with reporter acn 497793 revealed the following information: a chafed wire bundle was found in the avionics compartment. It was a 5 inch thick bundle that had a high amperage line that was intended to be in the center of the bundle that was on the outer edge. The manufacturer is investigating. The reporter assumed that the smoke began when the busses were isolated for the autoplt dual land approach or from the vibration at touchdown.

Title: A BOEING B767-200 ELECTRICAL SMOKE AND FIRE APPEARED IN THE COCKPIT IMMEDIATELY AFTER TOUCHDOWN FROM A CAT III APCH AND LNDG. TAXIED TO GATE FOR PAX REMOVAL.
Narrative: WE PERFORMED A CAT III APCH TO RWY 16L IN SLC. ON TOUCHDOWN, WE EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRICAL FIRE. WE TAXIED CLR OF THE RWY AND SHUT DOWN L ENG. WE COORDINATED WITH FLT ATTENDANTS AS WE TAXIED TO THE GATE. WE THEN EXPEDITIOUSLY DEPLANED ACFT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 498116: UPON TOUCHDOWN WE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS COCKPIT INDICATIONS OF ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR ACN 497793 REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: A CHAFED WIRE BUNDLE WAS FOUND IN THE AVIONICS COMPARTMENT. IT WAS A 5 INCH THICK BUNDLE THAT HAD A HIGH AMPERAGE LINE THAT WAS INTENDED TO BE IN THE CTR OF THE BUNDLE THAT WAS ON THE OUTER EDGE. THE MANUFACTURER IS INVESTIGATING. THE RPTR ASSUMED THAT THE SMOKE BEGAN WHEN THE BUSSES WERE ISOLATED FOR THE AUTOPLT DUAL LAND APCH OR FROM THE VIBRATION AT TOUCHDOWN.
