Narrative:
The aircraft arrived 30 mins late to the gate. We had about 25 mins to prepare the aircraft for departure. With about 15 mins remaining, maintenance took the logbook for a signoff. We had completed the before starting engines checklist to the logbook and flight forms. We also were preparing for a no APU start and aircraft deicing. At departure time the agent asked to close the door and we departed without the aircraft logbook.
