Narrative:

Taxiway safety. Lga was landing on runway 31, departing on runway 4. After landing on runway 31 and clearing at taxiway south, we stopped short of taxiway B due to aircraft blocking the taxiway. We were asked by ground control if we could turn left and taxi east on taxiway B. I said yes and began the turn. As I came out of the turn, a B757 was clearing runway 31 on the high speed taxiway T. We were essentially nose-to-nose, and he was not slowing down enough to make me believe he could stop prior to hitting me. I accelerated rapidly down taxiway B, and I estimate that we missed by approximately the length of a B757. This was a very dangerous situation that was really caused by the fact that landing aircraft at lga have nowhere to go after clearing the runway.

Title: 2 B757 ACFT NEARLY COLLIDE AFTER LNDG AT LGA.

Narrative: TXWY SAFETY. LGA WAS LNDG ON RWY 31, DEPARTING ON RWY 4. AFTER LNDG ON RWY 31 AND CLRING AT TXWY S, WE STOPPED SHORT OF TXWY B DUE TO ACFT BLOCKING THE TXWY. WE WERE ASKED BY GND CTL IF WE COULD TURN L AND TAXI E ON TXWY B. I SAID YES AND BEGAN THE TURN. AS I CAME OUT OF THE TURN, A B757 WAS CLRING RWY 31 ON THE HIGH SPD TXWY T. WE WERE ESSENTIALLY NOSE-TO-NOSE, AND HE WAS NOT SLOWING DOWN ENOUGH TO MAKE ME BELIEVE HE COULD STOP PRIOR TO HITTING ME. I ACCELERATED RAPIDLY DOWN TXWY B, AND I ESTIMATE THAT WE MISSED BY APPROX THE LENGTH OF A B757. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SIT THAT WAS REALLY CAUSED BY THE FACT THAT LNDG ACFT AT LGA HAVE NOWHERE TO GO AFTER CLRING THE RWY.
