Narrative:
While climbing out of sjc, center issued a turbulence report for high altitude, reclred to FL270. Aircraft was climbing in VNAV with autoplt engaged. FL270 was selected in the altitude controller and verified. Due to rapid climb in VNAV, vertical speed was selected and climb reduced to 1000 FPM. Aircraft climbed through FL270, recovered manually at FL273 and descended to FL270. Captain's ADI had a 1-3 degree pitch jump, which was reflected by erratic and uneven VNAV path climb. Write-up noted in maintenance log. Captain was flying the aircraft.

Title: B733 CREW, DURING CLB, OVERSHOT ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: WHILE CLBING OUT OF SJC, CTR ISSUED A TURB RPT FOR HIGH ALT, RECLRED TO FL270. ACFT WAS CLBING IN VNAV WITH AUTOPLT ENGAGED. FL270 WAS SELECTED IN THE ALT CONTROLLER AND VERIFIED. DUE TO RAPID CLB IN VNAV, VERT SPD WAS SELECTED AND CLB REDUCED TO 1000 FPM. ACFT CLBED THROUGH FL270, RECOVERED MANUALLY AT FL273 AND DSNDED TO FL270. CAPT'S ADI HAD A 1-3 DEG PITCH JUMP, WHICH WAS REFLECTED BY ERRATIC AND UNEVEN VNAV PATH CLB. WRITE-UP NOTED IN MAINT LOG. CAPT WAS FLYING THE ACFT.
