Narrative:
ATC clearance was received to cross ltown fix at 12000 ft on the wlder arrival to mem. We acknowledged. We had a few mins before we needed to start down. We were busy making radio calls with operations in mem and became distraction by call-backs and questions being asked. ATC called and asked about our altitude and we immediately started a rapid descent. We missed our crossing by 3000 ft.

Narrative: ATC CLRNC WAS RECEIVED TO CROSS LTOWN FIX AT 12000 FT ON THE WLDER ARR TO MEM. WE ACKNOWLEDGED. WE HAD A FEW MINS BEFORE WE NEEDED TO START DOWN. WE WERE BUSY MAKING RADIO CALLS WITH OPS IN MEM AND BECAME DISTR BY CALL-BACKS AND QUESTIONS BEING ASKED. ATC CALLED AND ASKED ABOUT OUR ALT AND WE IMMEDIATELY STARTED A RAPID DSCNT. WE MISSED OUR XING BY 3000 FT.
