Narrative:
Yyz arrival originally cleared us the runway 23 profile descent via ywt, descend and maintain 11000 ft, comply with restrs. We were subsequently vectored off of the arrival to a heading of approximately 140 degrees. Arrival then cleared us back direct to ywt, with no other instructions. We continued descent to 11000 ft, reaching that altitude about 5 NM before ywt, which on the arrival is a 13000 ft MSL minimum crossing point. The controller called us and asked us to check our charts, that there was a minimum crossing altitude of 13000 ft at ywt, but that it wasn't a problem. There was a [doubt] in our minds since we were vectored off of the ar and then cleared direct to the fix, with no mention of being reclred the arrival and the accompanying restrs. We proceeded to a normal landing.

Title: B737 FLC OVERSHOOT YYZ RWY 23 PROFILE DSCNT RESTR.
Narrative: YYZ ARR ORIGINALLY CLRED US THE RWY 23 PROFILE DSCNT VIA YWT, DSND AND MAINTAIN 11000 FT, COMPLY WITH RESTRS. WE WERE SUBSEQUENTLY VECTORED OFF OF THE ARR TO A HDG OF APPROX 140 DEGS. ARR THEN CLRED US BACK DIRECT TO YWT, WITH NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. WE CONTINUED DSCNT TO 11000 FT, REACHING THAT ALT ABOUT 5 NM BEFORE YWT, WHICH ON THE ARR IS A 13000 FT MSL MINIMUM XING POINT. THE CTLR CALLED US AND ASKED US TO CHK OUR CHARTS, THAT THERE WAS A MINIMUM XING ALT OF 13000 FT AT YWT, BUT THAT IT WASN'T A PROB. THERE WAS A [DOUBT] IN OUR MINDS SINCE WE WERE VECTORED OFF OF THE AR AND THEN CLRED DIRECT TO THE FIX, WITH NO MENTION OF BEING RECLRED THE ARR AND THE ACCOMPANYING RESTRS. WE PROCEEDED TO A NORMAL LNDG.
