Narrative:
While en route, ATC gave us a message from dispatch to land at macon and call in. ATC gave us vectors for the ILS. Once established, ATC told us to contact macon radio (FSS) for an airport advisory. FSS said there was no other traffic. We had the field in sight, and landed. Being near XA00 (when the tower closed) made me wonder if approach had wanted me back with them, or over to tower after talking to FSS, even though FSS takes over for tower at XA00. The possible miscom has prompted this letter.
