Narrative:
I departed and flew from iah to jax with an open maintenance discrepancy. The discrepancy was the pack control switch would not operate in automatic. I reported the event to air carrier X maintenance in houston after landing at jax. I got distraction during the checklist and failed to assure the aircraft logbook was properly reviewed.
