Narrative:
ATC made a change from scupp arrival to norwich arrival to bos, simultaneously directing us to expedite descent to 11000 ft with a right turn direct to pvd. Aircraft overspd by 3 KTS for 5 seconds. Both pilots made a mental note to write up the overspd in the logbook on arrival at the gate. Both pilots subsequently forgot to write up overspd. Incident was reported to chief pilot the next morning. Supplemental information from acn 504511: I remembered it the next morning, and immediately reported the overspd to maintenance to see if they could track where the aircraft was and to inspect it before its next flight. Contributing factors: it was the last leg of a 12 hour day. We were late, tired, and hungry. WX was good except for light turbulence.
