Narrative:
En route to tlh with intention of landing at pbi if able regarding fuel. Departed psp and prior to tlh it looked like we would not be able to meet fuel requirements at pbi (ie, 1500 pounds reserve). I asked the captain what he was going to do and he said 'I think we'll have enough fuel,' I said 'I'd like to land at tlh for a fuel stop.' he said 'we'll make it to pbi and won't need fuel stop.' we landed at pbi with 1260 pounds of fuel remaining. We are required to land with 1500 pounds. His decision against mine and he's the boss, so he got his way which turned out to be absolutely wrong.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CPR C650 LANDED WITH LESS THAN IFR REQUIRED MINIMUM FUEL DUE TO THE CAPT AND OWNER DECIDING TO CONTINUE ON TO DEST PAST THEIR ALTERNATE FUEL STOP IF FUEL BY THAT POINT WOULD BE INSUFFICIENT TO MAKE DEST. THEY LANDED WITH 1260 LBS VERSUS 1500 LBS OF REQUIRED FUEL.
Narrative: ENRTE TO TLH WITH INTENTION OF LNDG AT PBI IF ABLE REGARDING FUEL. DEPARTED PSP AND PRIOR TO TLH IT LOOKED LIKE WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MEET FUEL REQUIREMENTS AT PBI (IE, 1500 LBS RESERVE). I ASKED THE CAPT WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO AND HE SAID 'I THINK WE'LL HAVE ENOUGH FUEL,' I SAID 'I'D LIKE TO LAND AT TLH FOR A FUEL STOP.' HE SAID 'WE'LL MAKE IT TO PBI AND WON'T NEED FUEL STOP.' WE LANDED AT PBI WITH 1260 LBS OF FUEL REMAINING. WE ARE REQUIRED TO LAND WITH 1500 LBS. HIS DECISION AGAINST MINE AND HE'S THE BOSS, SO HE GOT HIS WAY WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE ABSOLUTELY WRONG.
