Narrative:
Flight was descending out of 12000 ft to 6000 ft airspeed 270, autoplt and autothrottles were engaged. Captain was heads down entering vydda for localizer 27 into san. First officer saw a rapidly approaching rotating beacon. There was no TCAS RA. The lights were on a constant bearing and with no relative motion. The first officer perceived a possible collision. First officer disconnected the autoplt and aggressively pulled up. He was surprised by the rapid jolt caused by this action, possibly aggravated by the speed brakes being extended. Realized there was no longer a threat. Normal profile was reestablished followed by a normal landing. No passenger were injured. #3 flight attendant went to the hospital for check out. Captain inspected aircraft upon landing and saw no defects
