We flew a flight to ord. Departed ord to phx. Had landing gear malfunction and had to rtn to ord. Asked to ferry aircraft 'part 91,' back to phx duty time ran to 17 hour 29 mins not sure if part 91 operation is included in maximum duty limitations.
