Narrative:
Bos tower cleared us onto runway 4R with 'position and hold.' as we crossed the hold short line for runway 4R, a light twin broke out under the 700 ft overcast for runway 4R. Tower asked us if we could hold short of hold line which we had just crossed. We stopped short of entering runway 4R. Tower then advised the light twin to go around. After the light twin went around, tower cleared us onto runway 4R. We could see lights in the clouds for an aircraft on final as we went into position, but couldn't determine for sure if it was landing on runway 4R or runway 4L. Tower then advised an air carrier Y flight on final for runway 4R to go around, after advising us to exit the runway we went back for a takeoff on runway 4R.

Title: BOS TWR CHANGES CLRNC WITH MD80 AND ASKS IF THEY ARE CLR OF RWY. ADVISING THEY ARE NOT, TWR SENDS THE FIRST OF TWO ACFT AROUND ATTEMPTING TO CLR THE FLC FOR TKOF.
Narrative: BOS TWR CLRED US ONTO RWY 4R WITH 'POSITION AND HOLD.' AS WE CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 4R, A LIGHT TWIN BROKE OUT UNDER THE 700 FT OVERCAST FOR RWY 4R. AFTER THE LIGHT TWIN WENT AROUND, TWR CLRED US ONTO RWY 4R. WE COULD SEE LIGHTS IN THE CLOUDS FOR AN ACFT ON FINAL AS WE WENT INTO POS, BUT COULDN'T DETERMINE FOR SURE IF IT WAS LNDG ON RWY 4R OR RWY 4L. TWR THEN ADVISED AN ACR Y FLT ON FINAL FOR RWY 4R TO GAR, AFTER ADVISING US TO EXIT THE RWY WE WENT BACK FOR A TKOF ON RWY 4R.
