Narrative:
Airways facilities management at ZBW staffed a shift with an uncertified specialist when a known host shutdown was to occur. During the shutdown, a problem arose that shut down all our radar. The uncertified specialists had to phone a certified specialist to bring the radar back on line.

Title: ZBW CTLR AWARE OF MID SHIFT AUTOMATION SOFTWARE FAILURE CAUSED ALLEGEDLY BY NONCERTIFIED MAINT PERSONNEL.
Narrative: AIRWAYS FACILITIES MGMNT AT ZBW STAFFED A SHIFT WITH AN UNCERTIFIED SPECIALIST WHEN A KNOWN HOST SHUTDOWN WAS TO OCCUR. DURING THE SHUTDOWN, A PROB AROSE THAT SHUT DOWN ALL OUR RADAR. THE UNCERTIFIED SPECIALISTS HAD TO PHONE A CERTIFIED SPECIALIST TO BRING THE RADAR BACK ON LINE.
