Narrative:

We were the crew that worked this aircraft into dfw. We were to work this same aircraft back to ord later. We stayed on the plane between flts. Our pilots came to the aircraft approximately 45 mins later. They told us to get our things and get off because the terminal was being evacuate/evacuationed. We later found out it was a hazmat spill right behind our plane. Later we were able to work aircraft back to ord. While in-flight, all flight attendants felt sick, had headaches, coughing, and blurred vision. Captain called for assistance in ord. We were met by paramedics and taken to nearby hospital. We were released early the next morning. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the flight attendant called back and stated that the hazmat was later referred to as liquid fiberglas. The symptoms started about 1 1/2 hours into the flight and had initiated as an 'itchy throat.' she later found out that the ground personnel suffered from the same effect. She surmised that the ground cargo handlers dropped one of the containers. The cockpit crew discovered the situation when they were on the way to the aft and realized that the company was evacing the terminal area. The APU had been operating during the time of this spill.
