Narrative:
The gyro pressure system did not have enough pressure for the gyros to operate correctly at lower than cruise RPM's. I also misunderstood the controller's instructions to turn to a heading of 220 degrees -- instead I turned to 320 degrees. While trying to assess gyro problem, I got too low on the GS. Made 2 approachs to land.

Title: A BE35 PLT ENCOUNTERS PROBS IN MAKING A SAFE APCH WHEN HE IS DISTR WITH EQUIP PROBS AND WX AT GSO, NC.
Narrative: THE GYRO PRESSURE SYS DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE FOR THE GYROS TO OPERATE CORRECTLY AT LOWER THAN CRUISE RPM'S. I ALSO MISUNDERSTOOD THE CTLR'S INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN TO A HDG OF 220 DEGS -- INSTEAD I TURNED TO 320 DEGS. WHILE TRYING TO ASSESS GYRO PROB, I GOT TOO LOW ON THE GS. MADE 2 APCHS TO LAND.
