Narrative:
Going through 9500 ft MSL climbing to FL220, left engine oil pressure flickered 5 psi (90 psi to 85 psi). Going through 10000 ft, oil pressure fluctuated 60 psi to 90 psi, then fell to 60 psi. I then requested to return to lou. I was asked if I was declaring an emergency. I stated no, but would like for equipment standing by. By then, oil pressure was close to red line, so I shut down and secured left engine. (Oil cooler hose less than 2 yrs old had ruptured.)
