Narrative:
I flew an airplane with a write-up on the landing light retraction inoperative which carried a fuel penalty. I found out later that it should have had an MEL on the landing light also. It was an oversight on my part, but I believe this sort of discrepancy should be covered under one placard and not 2 as in this case.

Title: PIC FLIES HIS B737 WITH AN INOP RETRACT SYS ON THE LNDG LIGHT, FOLLOWING THE ACFT'S WRITE-UP LIST BUT NEGATING THE REQUIRED MEL PROGRAM AT PDX, OR.
Narrative: I FLEW AN AIRPLANE WITH A WRITE-UP ON THE LNDG LIGHT RETRACTION INOP WHICH CARRIED A FUEL PENALTY. I FOUND OUT LATER THAT IT SHOULD HAVE HAD AN MEL ON THE LNDG LIGHT ALSO. IT WAS AN OVERSIGHT ON MY PART, BUT I BELIEVE THIS SORT OF DISCREPANCY SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER ONE PLACARD AND NOT 2 AS IN THIS CASE.
