Narrative:

Getting ready to depart trenton runway 24, observed a landing light from the opposite direction. Tower instructed opposite direction traffic to turn left (to our right). Tower then cleared us for takeoff and changed our departure to a left turn to 180 degrees. After attaining about 300 ft AGL, and with the opposite direction traffic no longer in sight started our turn to 180 degrees to avoid any potential conflict. After viewing lower traffic below, remembered the noise abatement procedures. In our attempt to make absolutely certain of avoiding other traffic we probably created a noise problem. In this case, if either we had asked tower for a traffic pointout, or if tower had volunteered one, we probable would have been able to do a straight out departure to 1200 ft MSL prior to turn.

Title: PA-28 PLT UNABLE TO FOLLOW NOISE ABATEMENT PROC AT TTN DUE TO CONFLICTING TFC.

Narrative: GETTING READY TO DEPART TRENTON RWY 24, OBSERVED A LNDG LIGHT FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. TWR INSTRUCTED OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC TO TURN L (TO OUR R). TWR THEN CLRED US FOR TKOF AND CHANGED OUR DEP TO A L TURN TO 180 DEGS. AFTER ATTAINING ABOUT 300 FT AGL, AND WITH THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC NO LONGER IN SIGHT STARTED OUR TURN TO 180 DEGS TO AVOID ANY POTENTIAL CONFLICT. AFTER VIEWING LOWER TFC BELOW, REMEMBERED THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROCS. IN OUR ATTEMPT TO MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN OF AVOIDING OTHER TFC WE PROBABLY CREATED A NOISE PROB. IN THIS CASE, IF EITHER WE HAD ASKED TWR FOR A TFC POINTOUT, OR IF TWR HAD VOLUNTEERED ONE, WE PROBABLE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO A STRAIGHT OUT DEP TO 1200 FT MSL PRIOR TO TURN.
