Narrative:
Taxiing to runway 17R on taxiway left. There was another aircraft on taxiway K abeam us. Heard tower clear a flight to take off runway 17R. As we turned the corner onto taxiway eh, we were cleared to hold on runway 17R. The runway was clear so we took the runway. As we lined up, the aircraft that had been abeam us asked if they were no longer cleared for takeoff. Tower cleared us to take off and had them hold short.

Narrative: TAXIING TO RWY 17R ON TXWY L. THERE WAS ANOTHER ACFT ON TXWY K ABEAM US. HEARD TWR CLR A FLT TO TAKE OFF RWY 17R. AS WE TURNED THE CORNER ONTO TXWY EH, WE WERE CLRED TO HOLD ON RWY 17R. THE RWY WAS CLR SO WE TOOK THE RWY. AS WE LINED UP, THE ACFT THAT HAD BEEN ABEAM US ASKED IF THEY WERE NO LONGER CLRED FOR TKOF. TWR CLRED US TO TAKE OFF AND HAD THEM HOLD SHORT.
