Narrative:

When preparing to land at ZZZ airport, the right main landing gear light would not come on. I notified the tower and they suggested a fly-by to confirm the gear was down visually. I accepted the fly-by and then requested time to troubleshoot the problem. The right main gear light never came on, so I decided to land and asked to have the emergency equipment stand by. Upon touching down, the gear light came on and I told the tower no equipment was needed and I parked at the FBO. The flight up to this point was part 91 to pick up the passenger for part 135. I called the director of operations to let him know what happened and asked what should be done. The director of operations told me to do a thorough inspection of the landing gear (leaks, down locks, mechanical irregularities, etc). I found no problems, and all indications in the cockpit were normal. I was then released by dispatch for the flight. The flight ended in pwk uneventful with everything normal. The plane was then looked over by maintenance on apr/xa/01 at which time it was decided to swing and check the gear. The discrepancy was written up and maintenance checked the gear and lubed and swung the gear and everything was normal. I believe the safety of the flight was legal because when I took off part 135 I had no known discrepancies and preflight showed everything to be normal. The gear was looked at even though the problem never repeated itself.

THE GEAR WAS LOOKED AT EVEN THOUGH THE PROB NEVER REPEATED ITSELF.
