Narrative:
I was flying the aircraft on autoplt as we climbed to our assigned altitude of FL190. Just prior to reaching FL190, we received a clearance to FL220, which I acknowledged. The captain was off the radio getting the ATIS information at hou. As I was about to level off at FL220, ZHU asked us to confirm our altitude. By this time, the captain had just come back to the radio duties. He answered that we were about to level at FL220. The controller told us to descend immediately to FL210. We complied with this clearance. There was apparently no conflict. The captain asked the controller if there was a problem, and the controller stated that there was no problem, and that there would be no paperwork. I still don't know if I was actually cleared to FL220, or if the controller made a mistake. The WX was clear, and no factor.

Title: B737-700 CREW WAS QUESTIONED BY THE CTLR ABOUT THE ALT THEY WERE CLBING TO IN ZHU CLASS A AIRSPACE.
Narrative: I WAS FLYING THE ACFT ON AUTOPLT AS WE CLBED TO OUR ASSIGNED ALT OF FL190. JUST PRIOR TO REACHING FL190, WE RECEIVED A CLRNC TO FL220, WHICH I ACKNOWLEDGED. THE CAPT WAS OFF THE RADIO GETTING THE ATIS INFO AT HOU. AS I WAS ABOUT TO LEVEL OFF AT FL220, ZHU ASKED US TO CONFIRM OUR ALT. BY THIS TIME, THE CAPT HAD JUST COME BACK TO THE RADIO DUTIES. HE ANSWERED THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO LEVEL AT FL220. THE CTLR TOLD US TO DSND IMMEDIATELY TO FL210. WE COMPLIED WITH THIS CLRNC. THERE WAS APPARENTLY NO CONFLICT. THE CAPT ASKED THE CTLR IF THERE WAS A PROB, AND THE CTLR STATED THAT THERE WAS NO PROB, AND THAT THERE WOULD BE NO PAPERWORK. I STILL DON'T KNOW IF I WAS ACTUALLY CLRED TO FL220, OR IF THE CTLR MADE A MISTAKE. THE WX WAS CLR, AND NO FACTOR.
