Narrative:
During taxi out, a passenger became ill and was assessed by another passenger that was a registered nurse. The nurse requested to use the blood pressure cuff from the aircraft's emergency medical kit. We subsequently returned to the gate prior to takeoff. Since the medical kit's seal was broken, a logbook entry was required prior to dispatching. While I was focused on deciding whether to allow the ill passenger to remain on board or not, I failed to enter the required information into the aircraft logbook until after takeoff.
